DATA INTEGRATION · FREIGHT OPERATIONS

Six sources. One reliable dataset.

Bringing consignment, order and accounting records into a consistent reporting workflow for an Australian freight operator.

01Carrier & store data
02Normalize & reconcile
03Shared reporting dataset
01 / THE PROBLEM

What needed to change

Shipping records lived across a carrier portal, spreadsheets, accounting exports and an online store. Duplicate records, inconsistent addresses and mismatched carrier codes made reconciliation and month-end reporting slow.

02 / THE WORK

What I built

I cleaned and deduplicated the records, normalized addresses and carrier codes, and validated historical consignments against invoices. API pulls, scheduled CSV drops and database synchronization then fed a common reporting dataset.

03 / THE OUTCOME

What changed

The original portfolio describes month-end reporting moving from several days to the same morning, with dispatch no longer rekeying consignments by hand. The client remains unnamed here, and no operational records are exposed.
